Garry Scott's latest pictures of work on his Clayton
As you can see almost all the motion is now complete. A new reverse lever has been made and fitted along with all the links for the Stevensons reverse gear.My good friend Alfie Cheyne made the new rear axle and indeed helped me to fit it. The diff is now fitted plus the winch drum and the new gear covers have been finished and fitted. We have made a start to the steel boiler barrel cladding cover and finished one side. The engine is coming together but still lots to do.

As the autumn leaves started to fall, the last steam gathering of 2003 was a steam thresh in a field near Blairs. Mike Dreelan’s engines were doing the work driving the mill and the baler. The dry summer meant that the ground was firm enough to allow Mike’s showman’s engine Dolphin and a newly acquired ex D.C.Stewart roller along with the Barrack Sentinel Glendronach into the field .
