Exhibitors of Steam Engines are required to ensure that their entry will be covered by:

a) Insurance for full third party risks (including boiler explosion) with a minimum indemnity of £2 million; which is not prejudiced by use at Bon Accord Steam Engine Club Ltd events; and

b) Valid boiler certificate issued by a competent independent person.

All exhibitors must ensure that their vehicles are licensed, insured, taxed and tested as necessary to meet legal requirements.

Exhibitor Agreement on submission of form:

I declare that during the event my self propelled exhibit will be covered by a minimum insurance requirements of the Road Traffic Act irrespective of whether my exhibit is licensed for use on the public highway or not. If my exhibit is not self propelled it will be covered by a Public Liability Policy and by a Boiler Explosion Policy (Where applicable). Both policies have a limit of indemnity of not less than £5,000,000 by one accident, and Sparks and Ashes cover for not less than £100,000. I further declare that the boiler of any steam plant entered carries a boiler inspection certificate and that I will produce documentary evidence of such insurance and inspection to you before participating in the event. I further declare that the driver(s) are competent and experienced in the operation of the above mentioned exhibit and/or hold a driving licence of the appropriate class and will produce, if required, such a licence.

Exhibitors agree to provide a copy of any of the above mentioned documentation upon request prior to or at any time during the event.
